Broadcast screen allows teachers to share content from their device directly to the members of the class. Teachers can broadcast the entire screen to the class or can select a programme they have open as well as a specific tab they have open, depending on the web browser used.
How to broadcast my screen to students
- Select the devices you wish to broadcast you screen to.
- Click on the “Broadcast My Screen” action in the right-side menu.
- You are now presented with the share screen options. Classroom broadcasting offers 3 options.
Your Entire Screen – This option will broadcast all the content from your screen. If you have multiple monitors or displays connected, then you can pick to broadcast from any of them.
Supported web browsers are – Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox & Apple Safari
Application Window – This option broadcasts a specific open application only. The application requires to be visible on the desktop, minimised applications are not broadcast.

Browser Tab – This option broadcasts a specific open tab from your web browser. Like application broadcasting, the tab requires to be visible on the desktop, minimised browser tabs are not broadcast.

4. Select your desired option, in this example a Word document and click “Share”.
5. A new tab opens on all selected devices which will display the broadcast. Windows & ChromeOS users requires to click on the “Play” button to view the broadcast stream.
6. The broadcast can be stopped by clicking on the “Stop Sharing” button.
