  Backdrop

  • AzureAD Improvements
    • Overall improvements to sync in relation to sync jobs and autologin creation.
    • Ability to exclude users from sync.
    • Safeguard to prevent syncing from Teams if a full Azure sync is already in place. This ensures schools with a full AzureAD sync and Teams integration will not have duplicate groups in Backdrop.
  • GroupCall
    • Ability to exclude users from sync.
  • Classlink
    • Syncs will no longer fail due to missing enrollment dates.
  • Ability to Configure Allow Logout for Automatic Logins
    • Allows admin users to configure the option to "allow logout" when an automatic login is in place. This is helpful for BYOD.
      • Note: While users are free to configure this, the option will not be available on student devices until the next Windows, Chrome, and MacOS client releases.

   Classroom

  • • Start Class Button Stuck on "Join"
      • Introduced a daily job that will end any classes lingering ensuring the button is reset to "Start".
    • Stability & Performance
      • Introduced thumbnail retention policy so that students are still selectable and can be affected by classroom tools even if they briefly lose connection.
    • Fixed Dutch translations for “Download Tabs” and “Screenshot”

  • Keyword List Improvements
    • Improved performance of applying keyword lists to groups
    • Optimized overall the performance
  • Wellbeing & Safeguarding
    • Fixed date filter bug in capture manager.
    • Improvement to referral flow regarding creating shared concerns.
    • Improved information on allegation exports
