Classroom offers various levels of integration with Microsoft Teams, but what does that mean? This document covers what these levels of Integration offer and includes links to specific instructions on how to setup the right Microsoft Teams integration for you.
Microsoft Teams utilizes the Microsoft Graph API which is shared with other Microsoft services such as Azure Active Directory. If an Active Directory group is created containing students and a teacher is given access to view this group then it is also visible in Microsoft Teams.
Level 1 Integration - Groups only
This integration offers the ability to import groups created for Microsoft Teams directly into Impero Classroom for use as teaching groups. This integration assumes that the students and teachers linked to the group are already present within Impero Classroom. Once setup the system performs an automated daily sync with Microsoft Teams.
A guide on how to get setup can be found below.

Level 2 Integration - Impero Classroom in Microsoft Teams
This integration allows teachers to access the Impero Classroom live device view directly inside Microsoft Teams by downloading and installing the Microsoft approved Impero Classroom app for Teams. This allows teachers to use Teams for real time communications with students while still offering the full range of Impero Classroom functionality. We also import the Microsoft Teams groups into the system like level 1 integration. This integration assumes that the students and teachers linked to the group are already present within Impero Classroom. Once setup the system performs a sync when the Impero Classroom application is viewed in Microsoft Teams.

Level 3 Integration - Full school setup with Microsoft Teams
This integration is designed to allow schools to be setup entirely using Microsoft Teams. Rather than using an MIS/SIS connection the Level 3 Microsoft Teams integration will import the student and staff users and add them to the system. It also imports any groups created for these students for use as teaching groups in Impero Classroom. Level 2 integration can be configured along side level 3 if desired. Once setup the system performs an automated daily sync with Microsoft Teams.
