Logout device allows a teacher in Impero Classroom to remotely logout a student from a device. This action removes the student from the class until they log back in. As supported operating systems behave differently with regards to users this feature will perform different actions depending on the device type a user is logged into.
Below is a breakdown of how this feature behaves on the various device platforms.
Windows – The Windows user is logged out of the device and disconnected from Classroom.
Android – The Android user is logged out of the Impero app and disconnected from Classroom.
iOS – The iOS user is logged out of the Impero app and disconnected from Classroom.
ChromeOS – The ChromeOS user is logged out of the Impero Extension and disconnected from Classroom (Only available with manual login)
How to use logout devices
- Select the device you wish to log out from the classroom view.
- Click on the “Logout Devices” action button from the right side menu.
- As this action disconnects the device from Classroom you cannot see the device screen until the student logs back in. Below are the screens the various platforms will display after performing this action.
The student is logged out of the device and returned to the default Windows login screen.
iOS & Android
The student is logged out of the Impero app and returned to the Impero login screen.
