Getting started with EdLink is quick and easy but it does require some simple pre-planning to ensure your installation goes smoothly.
Please ensure that the following has been configured ahead of your installation with Impero:
An 802.11 wireless network is open or using a Pre-Shared Key (PSK)
Schools utilizing SSL-inspecting proxies will need to add a temporary network without SSL interception in order to configure tablets
Schools need to ensure consistent connectivity and sufficient bandwidth is available for any initial deployment of apps
For Impero EdLink to operate correctly, you will need to apply the following rules to your firewall, filter and/or a proxy:
For Apple devices
For Android and Chrome devices
Device type pre-requisites
All iOS enrolment can be addressed during the installation.
For managing Android devices, the following will be needed:
A Google Account to download the EdLink Application from the Play Store.
An 802.11 wireless network that is open or using a Pre-Shared Key (PSK) and compatible with your tablets/phones
Access to these domains:
Note: Specific applications may have additional requirements.
For managing Chromebooks, the following will be needed:
Google Apps for Education for your domain
