A question we keep hearing is "How do i login to edpro.cloud if i don't have a Microsoft or Google account?". To answer this, we have added a new custom user management system, where users can sign in with any account they want.
"Sign in with Email" has been added to edpro.cloud login page.
Once setup you can use this feature to login to edpro.cloud with a non Microsoft or Google account.
(Google Classroom Sync is only available when using Google accounts)
How to Setup
The User Management functionality is available to all users who have Administrator privileges in the Cloud Console.
If you have the permissions, you will see “User management” as the last option in the main menu.
When you select “User Management” from the menu, you will see the main page for managing user accounts and passwords. Everything except Bulk Upload can be done from this page.
As you can see from fig.5 below, the main list shows the email address and the status of each account. Each user is identified by only their email address. There is no facility to store full names.

The following statuses apply to the user accounts.
- Active – Everything is OK, and the user can login.
- Disabled – The account cannot be used, because it has been disabled by the administrator or the user failed to login correctly 3 times.
- Password reset pending – A new account has been added and the user will need to set their password by clicking on the link in the email they have been sent. This could also happen if the administrator has forced a password reset on the users due to a security issue.
Selecting Users and Applying Actions
To the left of the emails you can see the checkboxes for selecting users. The checkbox in the header will allow you to select or deselect all users at once.
The Buttons to the left will carry out the actions upon the users you have selected.
- “Disabled Users” will stop all the selected users from signing in or requesting a password reset.
- “Enable Users” will allow the selected users to sign in or select a password reset after they have been disabled by the administrator or have failed to sign in correctly three times in a row.
- “Reset Password” will send a password reset email to the selected users. This will stop them from signing in with their existing password, so that they must change their password within 24 hours.
Adding A Single User
The administrator can add a single user at a time, by entering the new email address in the field highlighted in fig. 6 below and clicking on the “Add User” button.
There is no option to add a password for this user.
The user will be sent an email with a reset password link. Clicking on this link will take them to the standard Password Reset page, which will allow them to enter their initial password.
There are no rules for the characters that must be included, but the password should be between 8 and 72 characters in length.

Bulk Import of Users
It is possible to import a number of user emails and passwords from a text file in one action to aid with the setup of a new system.
The file should be a normal text file with one email address and password on each line, separated by a comma.
The Import page is shown below in fig.7.
Fig 7. Bulk Import - Before the Import
You may drag the text file into the grey area or click on it and browse to the file using the File Explorer.
A valid import file looks like this:
The file below is invalid because of the missing password and will display the message “Invalid CSV File”
Important Note: The file must end on the line of the last password. If you press Enter on the last line and create blank line at the bottom, the file will become invalid.
When the file has imported it will show the users added and those that were already imported. If a user has already been imported, then it is ignored. This means that you can re-import the same file with no ill effects if you need to edit it and try again. This is shown in fig 8. Below.

How to Sign in
Once you have selected the “Sign in With Email” option, you will be presented with the new Sign In page.
Enter the Email address you gave to the Administrator into the “Email Address” field.
If you gave the Administrator an initial password, then enter it in the “Password” Field.
If you did not give an initial password or you wish to immediately change it to something secret, then click on the “Request a Reset” link at the bottom of the Sign in Page.
Resetting Your Password
Passwords must be between 8 and 72 characters in length. There is no restriction on the characters to be used. You may change a password to a previously used one. There is no requirement to change the password after a specific amount of time. You may keep the same password for as long as wish.
You can only request a password reset from the Sign In page. There is not an additional maintenance page for users to manage their email login account.
A user can still sign in with their existing password after requesting a password reset.
Clicking on the “Request a Reset” link in the Sign in page will take you to the Reset Your Password page, shown below in fig. 2.
Fig. 2 Request a Password Reset
Enter the email address with which sign in to EdPro Cloud Console into the “Email Address” field.
An email will be sent to you with a link to the New Password page to enter your new password.
If you enter an email address which is different to your Sign In email, then EdPro will not send the email.
If the administrators have requested that all users change their email for security reasons, then you will receive the same email.
Click on the link in the email to be redirected to the New Password page, shown below in fig.3. The link will expire after 24 hours and redirect the user to a page displaying “Password reset link has expired. Please reset the link.” The user may request a password reset again from the Sign In page.
Enter your desired password into the New Password and Confirm Password fields and click on the “Reset Password” button. You may enter your existing password or any previous password.

If you fail to log in correctly 3 times in a row, then your account will be disabled, and you will see the message below in fig. 4.
Fig 4. Disabled Account in the Sign in Page
To reactivate your account, you will need to contact your administrator to enable it. You will still have the same password associated with your account, so if you have forgotten it, then you will need to follow the steps for resetting your password above.
You cannot request a password reset while your account is still disabled.
