Some local authorities use thresholds of need to manage the level and type of support a vulnerable child will be eligible to receive. These thresholds can be recorded against each child meaning you can keep up to date on the safeguarding needs of each learner, as well as, report on the numbers and types of concerns affecting the different threshold levels.
Thresholds must be updated manually for each child and this can be done from the child profile.
Select the Threshold button next to the child avatar.
A new box will open containing the threshold levels and, where possible, an illustration of the Continuum of Need for your schools local authority.
Select the correct threshold for the child and click submit. The child profile will then be updated.
The setting defaults to Threshold: Not Set unless you have actively changed the threshold. This is because it cannot be assumed that the base level threshold is appropriate for all children.
