Vision Pro's 'hardware acceleration mode' functionality utilizes its new screen capture technology to allow videos and graphic-intensive applications to be shared quickly and efficiently. Many screen sharing applications cannot display applications that rely on hardware acceleration. Applications requiring hardware acceleration include AutoCad, 3-D Studio Max, the Microsoft Windows Aero Theme and Quicktime to name a few. This also generally generates less traffic than the standard mirror driver based technology used in Vision and can run faster in wireless environments.
